The Perfect Pie Crust

"This old-fashioned pie crust is flaky, buttery and you just can’t go wrong with it. I use it for my apple, cherry, and chicken pot pies. It’s a winner!”

Makes 2 9” pie crusts

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp. salt

1 - 2 TBSP. sugar

1 cup (2 sticks) cold butter, cut into small cubes

1/4 - 1/2 cup ice cold water

How to Make It:

  1. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in processor. Add the butter; pulse until coarse meal forms. Gradually blend in ice water to form moist clumps. Gather dough into a ball, and divide in half. Form dough into 2 balls; flatten into discs. Wrap each dough ball in plastic wrap and chill at least 2 hours or overnight.
