Dog Biscuits
“My husband John and I have five, YES 5, dogs at home and they just LOVE treats! I like to make them homemade so I know what the ingredients are and I feel better knowing our pooches aren’t consuming a bunch of preservatives.”
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups organic whole wheat flour (you can substitute flour if your dog is sensitive to wheat with any of these)
1 tsp. Pink Himalayan salt (Himalayan salt contains 84 minerals and trace elements)
1 egg
½ cup chicken or beef stock
Optional: You can add bacon, shredded cheese, shredded carrots to suit your dog’s taste
How to Make It:
Preheat oven to 350°F
Combine ingredients in stand up mixer bowl using the dough hook attachment until
dough forms a ball (approximately 3 minutes).
Roll dough until ½ inch thick.
Cut into slices or cut out bone shapes (you can purchase a bone shaped cookie cutter here).
Place cut out dough pieces on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Let cool before giving to your pup.
